I would love to see the Gypsy and South Pacific revivals, after what I saw last night. I love Laura Benanti- she was the original Julia in The Wedding Singer.
The Little Mermaid- ouch. I hate that they trot out original songs from the animated film for televised performances instead of trotting any of the new songs… like Ursula’s new song, “I Want The Good Times Back” (hear it here), or the quartet “If Only” (hear it here- set to clips from the original film). Sigh.
